Today: The message is opened, manually assigned to a matter, the attachment downloaded, renamed and filed. Deadlines and tasks have to be captured, assigned and tracked separately.
With MAIQ: MAIQ reads the message and its attachments, identifies the matter, names and files the documents, spots deadlines and derives concrete tasks. The next steps show up directly as to-dos on the personal dashboard.

New matter

Today: Matter data is entered manually. Conflict checks, KYC and AML run in separate systems, and the file with all parties has to be set up by hand. Then come initial research, effort estimation, and drafting the engagement documents in Word. Sending, filing and tracking replies are, again, handled separately.
With MAIQ: A guided workflow takes over the whole process: MAIQ prepares the conflict check, captures KYC and AML data in a structured way, and sets up the file and parties in the background. Initial research and effort estimation are prepared, the required engagement documents are generated and sent after the lawyer's sign-off. MAIQ automatically tracks any open replies.

Today: Time is often reconstructed in the evening from calendar entries, emails, calls and memory. Short tasks get lost, and billing data has to be re-entered again at month-end.
